International Hardcore Compilation LP. 'A ROAR OF INDIGNATION'
"This international compilation is excellent! It is exciting and the songs are urgent. Every single one of them is a roar of indignation. All contemporary. All here and now. Nothing retro or rehashed. All fresh, great and powerful. D-Beat, Crust, Raw Punk and related sounds that work very well together and want me to hear more from every band. All killer, no filler. Extremely well done. There are comps from a different time, place and different musical styles that evoked similar feelings, including "Peace", "What doesn't hurt us makes us stronger", "Not so quiet on the Western Front", "Eye of the Thrash Guerrilla", "Konton Damaging Ear Massacre" and "Yotsuva".

Offenders - Endless Struggle/ We Must Rebel/ I Hate Myself -2xLP colour vinyl

Offenders - Endless Struggle/ We Must Rebel/ I Hate Myself -2xLP colour vinyl - red and blue
The OFFENDERS were formed in 1978 in Killeen, and after relocating to Austin in 1980, became known worldwide as one of the premiere hardcore bands out of the Lone Star state. Raw and rabid but more than proficient in the delivery of their musical rebellion -- alongside friends and scenemates D.R.I. and M.D.C. -- OFFENDERS completely ruled the hardcore scene throughout the infamous Reagan-era. Southern Lord is honored to present all the band's official recordings harnessed in a weighty 2xLP collection, with the audio fully boosted for this release courtesy of Audiosiege. Confirmed for parole on March 18th, the reissue features the band's two full-length albums -- Endless Struggle and We Must Rebel, as well as the I Hate Myself / Bad Times 7" -- fitted to two 180-gram slabs of black wax, housed in a gatefold jacket with the original covers and inserts faithfully replicated. Preorders can be placed HERE.
Over recent years, two of the original OFFENDERS - guitarist Anthony Johnson and bassist Mikey Offender -- have passed away, making these reborn recordings a tribute to the fallen brothers from surviving members, drummer Pat Doyle and vocalist JJ Jacobson. In honor of the band's legacy, Doyle and Jacobson have recruited Jeff Martin (Buzzcrusher) on guitar and Craig Merritt (World Burns to Death) on bass, and have already booked a March performance celebrating re-release of their works. More shows are being confirmed with the rebuilt lineup and will be announced in the weeks ahead.
Anthony Johnson, a.k.a. Tony Offender, was a founding member of the OFFENDERS. Inspired by the hardest rock the '70s offered, Tony took it to the next level with his high-speed style of shredding on the guitar. Following the disbanding of the OFFENDERS in 1986, Tony continued to play in bands until until he lost a long battle to lung cancer in 2012. Tony was also a dedicated Civil War re-enactor and member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, Past Commander of Camp #59.
Rickenbacker-raging Mikey "Offender" Donaldson and also performed with MDC regularly in the early 80s, in addition to laying down the bass on MDC's Millions of Dead Cops and DRI's Dealing With It. After the demise of the OFFENDERS, Mikey relocated to San Francisco to play and record with Gary Floyd (Dicks) in Sister Double Happiness, and in recent years recorded with MDC again, among other live and studio actions. He died in his sleep from unknown causes in a Barcelona squat in 2007.
JJ Jacobson performed with M.D.C. and provided vocals for their seminal Millions Of Dead Cops LP. Pat Doyle continues to lay down percussive havoc with Austin metallurgists, Ignitor.

BL'AST – Blood - LP orange vinyl

BL'AST – Blood! LP  limited Orange vinyl (Exclusive European) - gatefold cover.
Earlier this year BL’AST! guitarist, Mike Neider contacted Southern Lord with news that he had found some mysterious old BL’AST! master tapes in a abandoned storage locker. Greg Anderson, fanatical about BL’AST!, wasted no time in sending the tapes to a studio to be baked. Needless to say, after 25 years gathering dust, the quality had deteriorated. Even when the tapes had been baked, nobody could have anticipated what would follow. With the tapes baked and audio digitised, Southern Lord contacted long time BL’AST! fiend, Dave Grohl about mixing this recording, his response was an enthusiastic “FUCK YEAH!, LETS DO THIS”!
Whilst inside Grohl’s famous 606 Studios (and with the Neve console as featured in the recent Grohl produced documentary ’Sound City’) a remarkable discovery was made – a completely unheard, unreleased BL’AST! recording session from the mid–80s. The lineup of the band at the time of the recording included second guitarist William Duvall (from Neon Christ & interestingly now the vocalist for Alice In Chains) who had moved from his hometown of Atlanta out to Santa Cruz on a tip from mutual friends, Corrosion of Conformity to join the band. Unfortunately his tenure with BL’AST! was short–lived and no recordings from that lineup were ever released.
From the thunderous bass intro of “Only Time Will Tell” to the apocalyptic warnings of “Its In My Blood” the album completely rips and rages from start to finish. All parties involved were completely amazed at how vibrant, unique and new the material sounded. All things considered, it is miraculous that this record survived it’s journey and that everyone who was involved in bringing this recording to life, could be. Everything fell into place, when it could have easily crumbled along the way. This record is a time capsule that is meant to be heard!

The Repos - Armed And Using - Sick Club Vol 4 - 7''

1 time press of 500 copies with no repress long out of print - 400 copies on black vinyl- 100 copies on red/yellow vinyl

The 4th volume of the Sick Club series is filled by Chicago's own local legends THE REPOS. I feel by now I don't need to explain who this band is and what they sound like so know I am not going to. If you know and follow even just decent HC at all in the last so many years, you'd at least just know who this band is. After breaking up in 2008, but re-emerging in late 2010 as a new band called THE ROPES, the band quietly released some demos and a 7'' upon the world. Come sometime in later 2012, the band name 'THE ROPES' was already taken by some crap band from Rhode Island who of course threatened legal action since they couldn't cut it themselves and were too ego struck to let it be taken, so the guys went back to using the old REPOS moniker once more. These are 2, brand new EXCLUSIVE tracks on this Sick Nick Club 7'' aka 'Armed and Using' and 'Hole In the Hill', and like the others in the series a 1 time press of 500 copies with no repress, records are nestled in a hand assembled glue pocket cover too designed by Chicago art stalwart Ryan Lowry.

Cülo/Tenement - Split EP - 7"

Long out of print first press on coloured vinyl with poster - black vinyl first press and second press on clear coke vinyl

Culo: A full side of raging, angry, smokin’ hardcore that’ll warm the cockles of anyone who thinks bands like Negative Approach are swell, if a wee bit too slow. If I had to narrow it down to a single word, “unrelenting” about sums it up. Tenement: Shit, I was feelin’ sorry for these kids for having to follow the Culo stuff, but they more than handle their shit here, delivering two tracks of pitch perfect, early Midwestern-sounding poppy punk (not pop punk) with loud guitars and the kinda songwriting that sticks in your head for days on end. This, my friends, is how a split should be in an ideal world—two white-hot bands aiming for the fences and delivering the goods in spades. –Jimmy Alvarado (Cowabunga)

Man Is The Bastard - Backwards Species - 7" orange/purple vinyl

Charred Remains A.K.A. Man Is The Bastard ‎– Backwards Species - reissue on Deep Six Records.

limited edition on clear orange or purple/grey

In 1992, Charred Remains AKA Man Is The Bastard agreed to do a 7" release with German label Ecocentric Records and delivered "Backwards Species," a seven-song "skull powder-keg" of exploratory, progressive aggression that is still heralded today as one of M.I.T.B.'s most memorable sound offerings. Packed with complex, dual bass guitars, frying pan six-string axe work, incredibly diverse drumming, and loyal, heartfelt lyrics/vocals, the record was nearly gone immediately after its release. It has now been re-issued under "skull authority" by Deep Six Records in all its awareness-based glory.

The Hated was an Annapolis, Maryland emo band from 1985 to 1990. The original members were Mike Bonner, Erik Fisher, Daniel Littleton, and Colin Meeder. The Hated are known as one of the earliest emo bands.
After an early start as a parody of some of the DC hardcore scene's more rockist tendencies, the band's music quickly became more serious, more musically complicated than that of many of their contemporaries and followers, including melodic basslines, vocal harmonies and guitar playing (and tunings) borrowed from folk music, and drumming often more reminiscent of Keith Moon of the Who than most punk and post-punk drumming. The lyrics were complicated as well, occasionally containing biblical allusions or phrases in French and German.

Satan's Rats ‎– You Make Me Sick/Louise

DJM Records  ‎– DJS 10840 -1978
Members: Paul Rencher, Steve Eagles, Sharpie, Clint Driftwood.

Satan’s Rats were a Punk Band, formed in Evesham,Worcestershire in January 1977, by Steve Eagles and Paul Rencher.
The first live appearance was at Bretforton Village Hall on 4th March, 1977.
Songs like the anthemic Year Of The Rats about the demise of the old fart groups, their appearance at the Birmingham Punk Festival and support to the Sex Pistols at the Roxy soon saw the band build a large following and inevitably drew them to the attention of record labels.
The band disformed in 1979, or actually recruited Wendy Wu as lead singer, and renamed as, The Photos.

Despite having played relatively few gigs during their existence, Sacrilege is today recognised as an important band, both as an influence on later and doom metal bands and as an example of the blending of hardcore punk, radical politics, and heavy metal that occurred during the 1980s, making Sacrilege one of the prototypical bands of the time.

Demob ‎– Anti-Police - 7" poster sleeve

Round Ear ‎– Round 1 - 1981 - poster sleeve

SUPERB MINT UNPLAYED CONDITION AS NEW IN FOLD OUT COVER WITH ORIGINAL DUST BAG

A Anti Police
B Teenage Adolescence

Demob formed in late 1978 by guitarist Terry Elcock and drummer Johnny Melfah, and they were soon joined by Mike Howes (vocals), Tony Wakefield (bass) and Chris Rush (guitar). Howes ex-army skinhead friend Andy Kanonik soon joined, also on vocals. It was this line-up that first rehearsed and played the first gigs in and around Gloucester, the Viking youth club becoming the main place of rehearsals and Tracy’s night club was the first venue that Demob played in 1978, and became the local night club hangout for all the band and punks at that time. Elcock had previous experience on guitar as a member of a church band. Demob’s first big break came in the summer of 1979 when they fooled the authorities into letting them have a place in the Gloucester annual carnival parade. The ever increasing support for the band resulted in a mass riot between the punks and the bikers and, ultimately, the suspension of the carnival. The riot made national press and attracted the interest of the local record label, Round Ear Records. In 1980, Howes was sacked from the band, and Kanonik was imprisoned for three months, leaving the band without a singer. The band had just recruited Mark “Miff” Smith to replace Rush, and he took over the role of singer, with Paul “Fatty” Price also replacing Wakefield on bass. Smith soon become an integral part, arranging and organizing gigs. With the line-up now comprising Mark Smith (vocals), Terry Elcock (guitar), Paul Price & Barry Philips (bass guitar), and Johnny Melfah (drums), the band worked on their first recordings. “Anti-Police” was Demob’s first release on the independent Round Ear Records, the record supported by the late John Peel, and journalist Garry Bushell. The record spent over two months in the UK Indie Chart, peaking at number 34.
On the back of the success of “Anti-Police”, Demob supported many acts around the punk circuit at this time, including U2, UK Subs, The Angelic Upstarts, Discharge and The Beat. Most performances ended with a police presence and inevitable violence with their notorious hardcore followers, the Demob Riot Squad. The band’s mult-racial line-up sometimes attracted hostility from Nazi skinheads who attended their gigs, and the band would play several concerts in aid of the Anti-Nazi League. A second single, “No Room For You” quickly followed to add to the success, but unfortunately, like so many punk acts of the era, musical differences soon developed amongst the line up and Demob split to pursue other musical avenues in 1983.

The Transistors were a British punk band from Croydon, formed in 1979 who released two singles on their own “Open Circuit” record label.
