Crunk's "Demo 02" is now available. One of the most exciting bands today, their 7" "Demo 01" sold out immediately after its release in April 2021. The re-release on CD followed suit, reaching a 3rd press while selling out across the board. The band gained its reputation through a steady stream of live shows, proving positive rumors to be true. With the release of their recordings, their popularity overseas has only increased. Crunk creates a sense of present-day hardcore by leaning into hardcore of the past but combining that with their freedom of expression. Like their previous work, Crunk's old school sound can be heard at the forefront, yet also provides a kind of profoundness. This release surpasses demo quality and teases the potential of future releases.

Crunk appeared like comet shooting out of the sky, smashing into the Tokyo-Yokohama hardcore scene. Videos of one of their very early shows at Nishi Yokohama EL PUENTE were quick to buzz on social media gaining traction even outside of Japan. This is their first release. The artwork is drawn by the band's own vocalist, Yuka, who also works under the pen name TOOLATE.

Passionate vocals blaze atop an old-school hardcore foundation, providing a classic sound with a brand new "something." Although this release is labeled a demo, the overall quality and the details in the mix are unmistakably perfected.

Surpassing greater expectations, Crunk is a band to look out for in the future.

Japan only CD + DVD -Packaged in a 2CD jewel case comes with an 8-page booklet, traycard & obi -  From the late 90's to the early 2000's, a fierce acceleration based on shadowy lyricism and magnificent development The initial editing board of ASSAULT, which has made a name for itself with its powerful Japanese hardcore sound, completes a total of 10 songs that were not on CD from the demo tape ~ 1st 7ep ~ 2nd 7ep! In addition to the CD, a DVD containing a full set of live performances at Niigata WOODY in 2001 is also included.

A guitar with nicks and crying solos like TRAGEDY and European thrash metal progressing in parallel, a bass that plays a second melody while groaning at the bottom of the ground, a drum that carries a strong sense of speed, emotions just before it sticks out. The style of the 1st album, which is a combination of slamming vocals, is intense because it seems that the balance is being sought while there are multiple member transitions in the group of songs that are recorded in this work and some are re-recorded. There is a strong presence.

The Japanese hardcore band of this era incorporated a lot of "metallic" elements, but this one reiterates that the band that was "metal" but also "hardcore" as much as ASSAULT was rare.

This is a collection that includes PAINTBOX's singles from their first single in 1998, all their 7" recordings, and "Tribute to Masami / 汚れなき豚友達へ!! (To Our Unsullied Pig Friends!!);" all recordings with the exception of "ゲンセキ(Genseki)" which is a single cut from the album. Listing to this collection provides a special perspective on PAINTBOX's unique style that has stood since their first single and beyond throughout their performances and playfulness. This release contains a total of 20 trackings, including additional material selected by MUNE from live shows between 1999 and 2002.
