The Repos - Armed And Using - Sick Club Vol 4 - 7''

1 time press of 500 copies with no repress long out of print - 400 copies on black vinyl- 100 copies on red/yellow vinyl

The 4th volume of the Sick Club series is filled by Chicago's own local legends THE REPOS. I feel by now I don't need to explain who this band is and what they sound like so know I am not going to. If you know and follow even just decent HC at all in the last so many years, you'd at least just know who this band is. After breaking up in 2008, but re-emerging in late 2010 as a new band called THE ROPES, the band quietly released some demos and a 7'' upon the world. Come sometime in later 2012, the band name 'THE ROPES' was already taken by some crap band from Rhode Island who of course threatened legal action since they couldn't cut it themselves and were too ego struck to let it be taken, so the guys went back to using the old REPOS moniker once more. These are 2, brand new EXCLUSIVE tracks on this Sick Nick Club 7'' aka 'Armed and Using' and 'Hole In the Hill', and like the others in the series a 1 time press of 500 copies with no repress, records are nestled in a hand assembled glue pocket cover too designed by Chicago art stalwart Ryan Lowry.

Cülo/Tenement - Split EP - 7"

Long out of print first press on coloured vinyl with poster - black vinyl first press and second press on clear coke vinyl

Culo: A full side of raging, angry, smokin’ hardcore that’ll warm the cockles of anyone who thinks bands like Negative Approach are swell, if a wee bit too slow. If I had to narrow it down to a single word, “unrelenting” about sums it up. Tenement: Shit, I was feelin’ sorry for these kids for having to follow the Culo stuff, but they more than handle their shit here, delivering two tracks of pitch perfect, early Midwestern-sounding poppy punk (not pop punk) with loud guitars and the kinda songwriting that sticks in your head for days on end. This, my friends, is how a split should be in an ideal world—two white-hot bands aiming for the fences and delivering the goods in spades. –Jimmy Alvarado (Cowabunga)

Man Is The Bastard - Backwards Species - 7" orange/purple vinyl

Charred Remains A.K.A. Man Is The Bastard ‎– Backwards Species - reissue on Deep Six Records.

limited edition on clear orange or purple/grey

In 1992, Charred Remains AKA Man Is The Bastard agreed to do a 7" release with German label Ecocentric Records and delivered "Backwards Species," a seven-song "skull powder-keg" of exploratory, progressive aggression that is still heralded today as one of M.I.T.B.'s most memorable sound offerings. Packed with complex, dual bass guitars, frying pan six-string axe work, incredibly diverse drumming, and loyal, heartfelt lyrics/vocals, the record was nearly gone immediately after its release. It has now been re-issued under "skull authority" by Deep Six Records in all its awareness-based glory.

The Hated was an Annapolis, Maryland emo band from 1985 to 1990. The original members were Mike Bonner, Erik Fisher, Daniel Littleton, and Colin Meeder. The Hated are known as one of the earliest emo bands.
After an early start as a parody of some of the DC hardcore scene's more rockist tendencies, the band's music quickly became more serious, more musically complicated than that of many of their contemporaries and followers, including melodic basslines, vocal harmonies and guitar playing (and tunings) borrowed from folk music, and drumming often more reminiscent of Keith Moon of the Who than most punk and post-punk drumming. The lyrics were complicated as well, occasionally containing biblical allusions or phrases in French and German.

Satan's Rats ‎– You Make Me Sick/Louise

DJM Records  ‎– DJS 10840 -1978
Members: Paul Rencher, Steve Eagles, Sharpie, Clint Driftwood.

Satan’s Rats were a Punk Band, formed in Evesham,Worcestershire in January 1977, by Steve Eagles and Paul Rencher.
The first live appearance was at Bretforton Village Hall on 4th March, 1977.
Songs like the anthemic Year Of The Rats about the demise of the old fart groups, their appearance at the Birmingham Punk Festival and support to the Sex Pistols at the Roxy soon saw the band build a large following and inevitably drew them to the attention of record labels.
The band disformed in 1979, or actually recruited Wendy Wu as lead singer, and renamed as, The Photos.

Demob ‎– Anti-Police - 7" poster sleeve

Round Ear ‎– Round 1 - 1981 - poster sleeve

SUPERB MINT UNPLAYED CONDITION AS NEW IN FOLD OUT COVER WITH ORIGINAL DUST BAG

A Anti Police
B Teenage Adolescence

Demob formed in late 1978 by guitarist Terry Elcock and drummer Johnny Melfah, and they were soon joined by Mike Howes (vocals), Tony Wakefield (bass) and Chris Rush (guitar). Howes ex-army skinhead friend Andy Kanonik soon joined, also on vocals. It was this line-up that first rehearsed and played the first gigs in and around Gloucester, the Viking youth club becoming the main place of rehearsals and Tracy’s night club was the first venue that Demob played in 1978, and became the local night club hangout for all the band and punks at that time. Elcock had previous experience on guitar as a member of a church band. Demob’s first big break came in the summer of 1979 when they fooled the authorities into letting them have a place in the Gloucester annual carnival parade. The ever increasing support for the band resulted in a mass riot between the punks and the bikers and, ultimately, the suspension of the carnival. The riot made national press and attracted the interest of the local record label, Round Ear Records. In 1980, Howes was sacked from the band, and Kanonik was imprisoned for three months, leaving the band without a singer. The band had just recruited Mark “Miff” Smith to replace Rush, and he took over the role of singer, with Paul “Fatty” Price also replacing Wakefield on bass. Smith soon become an integral part, arranging and organizing gigs. With the line-up now comprising Mark Smith (vocals), Terry Elcock (guitar), Paul Price & Barry Philips (bass guitar), and Johnny Melfah (drums), the band worked on their first recordings. “Anti-Police” was Demob’s first release on the independent Round Ear Records, the record supported by the late John Peel, and journalist Garry Bushell. The record spent over two months in the UK Indie Chart, peaking at number 34.
On the back of the success of “Anti-Police”, Demob supported many acts around the punk circuit at this time, including U2, UK Subs, The Angelic Upstarts, Discharge and The Beat. Most performances ended with a police presence and inevitable violence with their notorious hardcore followers, the Demob Riot Squad. The band’s mult-racial line-up sometimes attracted hostility from Nazi skinheads who attended their gigs, and the band would play several concerts in aid of the Anti-Nazi League. A second single, “No Room For You” quickly followed to add to the success, but unfortunately, like so many punk acts of the era, musical differences soon developed amongst the line up and Demob split to pursue other musical avenues in 1983.

B1 Animal Farm
B2 Self Rule

Anarchist punk band from Norwich, UK. Formed in late 1980, the band got off to an early start with a demo of Napalm being released by Crass Records on the Bullshit Detector compilation. 1981 saw the recording and release of the first single, Young Offender, on the band's own label, Radical Change Records. This was a surprise hit in the indie charts and far outsold all expectations. The track Young Offender also appeared on Punk & Disorderly compilation.
By 1983 the band had a settled lineup of Steve, Kev, Paul & Steve. The band were believers of direct action, which led to various arrests and court cases. They were also very active in their support of other bands, with releases by Destructors, Icon AD, Revulsion & Self Abuse on the band's label, as well as organising gigs. The band split in 1988, disallusioned with the growing divides within the scene. Kevin went on to form Saigon Kiss. Steve Hansell was vocalist in New York Scum Haters. In recent years there has been a DVD "Anarchy, Peace & Chips" released and also the anthology CD "Gas the Punx". There are murmers from The Disrupters camp that there may be a reform of the band.

SUPERB MINT UNPLAYED CONDITION AS NEW IN FOLD OUT COVER WITH ORIGINAL DUST BAG - BLUE SLV HAS TINY STORAGE NICKS IN TOP EDGE.

B Love Is For Sops

The Outcasts were formed in June 1977 in Belfast by the three Cowan brothers, Greg Cowan (vocals / bass), Martin Cowan (guitar/vocals), Colin Cowan (drums) and their friend Colin ‘Getty’ Getgood (guitar), playing their first gig two months later. ‘You’re A Disease’ / ‘Don’t Want To Be No Adult’ / ‘Frustration’ (It, 1978) is easily the roughest sounding early Outcasts single, ‘You’re A Disease’ stands out as the best track. ‘Frustration’ was later re-recorded for the 1982 LP ‘Blood & Thunder’. ‘Just Another Teenage Rebel’ / ‘Love Is For Sops’ (Good Vibrations, 1978) captures the Outcasts at their best, punk rock with a pop edge, both tracks are classics. Came in the trademark Good Vibes foldout poster sleeve in several different colours, a 2nd pressing was issued in early 1979 with a different cover. ‘The Cops Are Comin’ (Good Vibrations, 1979) was released as part of a double single package ‘Battle Of The Bands’ featuring three other local bands, namely Rudi, Spider and the Idiots. A nasty little tale about killing your girlfriend and having sex with her corpse.

Gas Rag ‎– Beats Off - 12" MLP

I'm a bit late with this one, but better late than never - just a great 12"

To my ears, this is the best US band right now, totally raging hardcore punk the way it is supposed to be played. Like PYK era Poison Idea meets Shitlickers and UBR. This is a Mini LP, so not a ton of material, but it's all killer, no filler. - Felix Havoc

The anarcho-prostitutes of Chicago's GAS RAG return with the "BEATS OFF" MLP, featuring 11 more tracks of the hardcore punk that you dingles have come to know them for. Following up the "HUMAN RIGHTS" EP that that lit up all the interwebs and print media rags with a plethora of praise and hate from all kinds of bloggers, "music journalists," and other assorted dimwits; the gang is back with their first 12" that continues to pay homage to their Midwestern homeland whilst sending warm regards to the distant land of Scandinavia, all the while churning out a special brand of aggressive rock. This is a platter full of frantic yet tasteful riffs, a savage vocal delivery, and professionally executed pre-teen drumming - producing an end result that will inevitably aid in the listener's self destructive course of choice. Try not to freak the fuck out.

KNÆGT // SLÖA KNIVAR SPLIT - 7"

PRE-ORDER - HERE LATE NEXT WEEK

Two of the best bands from Malmö's thriving hardcore scene with two of the most outspoken vocalists on top of that.

Knægt once more allowed Sista Versen to release their new stuff and they spare no expenses when they riff like there is no tomorrow. The riffs are even sicker than on the demo and you can hear their old bands there as well as a lot of RKL/Accüsed.
Slöa Knivar have been around for a few years and this is their fifth release already and they still haven't changed those killer hardcore riffs a single bit. Patricias vocals are spot on and the lyrics are amazing and spot on as expected. One fast eager rager and one slower song with some great lyrics on the topic of douchebag dudes in ze scene.

SWORDWIELDER - Grim Visions Of Battle - cassette

This is the cassette edition of "Grim Visions Of Battle" LP by crusties SWORDWIELDER from Göteborg, Sweden.
Their style is unique among other bands playing in such vein. Heavy and gloomy middle-tempo stenchcore sounds totally like AXEGRINDER ( I have never heard of any band before which plays so close to this UK 80's crust classic) and some tunes of MISERY. Cassette insert includes all lyrics!
